Hertfordshire Mavericks have completed the signing of former Surrey Storm shooter Ashleigh Neal and tied down three other players on new deals.
The Mavericks are building their squad ahead of the new Vitality Netball Superleague season and announced their first four players, with Neal joining the returning Lindsay Keable, Sophie Hankin and Summer Artman.
The experienced Neal previously played for Storm and Australia-based sides West Coast Fever and Demons, before linking up with last season’s Superleague semi-finalists.
“I’m really excited and looking forward to my 2017 season with Mavs,” said Neal.
“It will be another challenging chapter and I can’t wait to learn from another great coach. I’m eager to arrive, meet the team and get things moving with the rest of the team.”
Artman earned a full-time place in the England programme and is glad to be heading back to Hertfordshire for a second campaign.
She said: “I’m very excited to re sign with Mavericks for the upcoming season. There’s a lot of changes in the league this year, but I’m really looking forward to working with our new coaches. It’s going to be a great season!”
