Loughborough Lightning mid-courter Sasha Corbin is arguably the highest-profile netballer to succumb to a serious knee injury this season.

The England international suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in just the second round of the Vitality Netball Superleague season, ruling her out for the rest of the campaign.

We sent ex-400m runner Katharine Merry up to Loughborough to investigate what appears to be a growing trend of serious knee injuries in netball.
